Following his initial work with the firm as both Law Clerk and Assistant Director of Operations and Legal Support, Eric Collins formally joined FGD Law as an Associate four years later, in 2014. His practice focuses on business entity formation involving closely-held and family enterprises as well as business tax issues, commercial lending, private equity transactions plus debt and equity financings for small and mid cap companies. He also works with venture capital firms, life sciences and technology companies in addition to guiding business executives involved in civil and commercial litigation.

With a next-generation perspective regarding the criticality of IP assets to innovators and their early stage companies, he successfully prosecutes trademark and copyright filings from a ground-up understanding of how technology must be a competitive capability for organizations as they navigate the virtually-oriented marketplace.
