Nicholas P. Alexander
As an accomplished litigator in the areas of business, commercial disputes, intellectual property and general liability law, Nicholas P. Alexander represents an array of organizations in state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth and in jurisdictions across the U.S.
His expertise runs the gamut, from complex commercial litigation and business disputes to employment issues, class actions, product liability concerns and matters involving technology law. He has lectured before various bar and trade associations in addition to serving as a senior editor of the Massachusetts Law Review – one of the oldest law review journals in the U.S. and one that is frequently cited as a legal authority by courts of many jurisdictions.
A former member of the Defense Research Institute, Nicholas has lectured at the MIT Enterprise Forum as well as other MIT-based organizations on a range of strategic legal issues that impact business leaders. He has been a featured, and sole, legal presenter at the IBM/Lotusphere conference – at one time a preeminent industry gathering of technologists, business leaders, visionaries and thought influencers that was considered a barometer on technology futures. Nicholas’ legal successes have been the subject of articles in Nation’s Business, Success Magazine, WallStreetReporter.com and Lawyer’s Weekly, among others.
He has served on the boards of directors of privately held businesses and as a faculty member for business workshops and conferences focused on content for CEOs of privately-held enterprises. An accomplished author and analyst on product liability, indemnity and other legal issues, Nicholas’ scholarship has been cited by State Supreme and State Appellate judges and courts, attorneys and law professors (i.e., Supreme Court of Iowa; Wells Dairy, Inc., Appellant, v. American Industrial Refrigeration, Inc., and Refrigeration Valves and Systems Corporation, Appellees. No. 06-1018. Decided: March 6, 2009).
