Bernard D. Posner
As an experienced litigator and trial attorney, Bernard represents clients in commercial litigation, construction, and professional liability matters. He also has experience in municipal and employment law.
During his time in private practice Bernard has litigated a wide variety of cases, including complicated commercial litigation matters, large construction and surety matters, and appeals in both Federal and state courts. Prior to joining FGD Law, Bernard was Of Counsel with Konowitz & Greenberg, P.C. He has also worked with the firms Nelson Kinder + Mosseau, PC and Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP. In addition to working in the private sector, Bernard also served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel to the City of Boston, where he gained considerable trial experience, including serving as lead counsel in a multi-party, million-dollar construction/design lawsuit and serving as co-counsel in a Federal Court jury trial and obtaining a defense verdict reported as one of Mass Lawyers Weekly’s “Biggest Defense Wins of the Past Year” for 2006. Bernard’s extensive trial experience allows him to effectively help clients navigate complicated litigation.
In 2006 Bernard was a panelist for “The Massachusetts Tort Claims Act: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Ask,” an in-house training session for the City of Boston. Bernard is also the co-author of a series of published articles discussing legal ethics.
